If you’re looking for some sound business advise – here’s a few words of wisdom from ICE.
If you’re a relatively new company like ICE and have a limited budget, business networking is ideal. It is well worth the investment in our opinion. Word of mouth and referrals are an invaluable resource.
Networking has way out performed the investment of direct mail shots and advertising. One piece of wasted advertising (last year – 2007) that comes to mind was the Yellow Pages. If your company’s services are aimed at businesses, we wouldn’t advise taking that route. Its worth being listed on the website and in the book, because it’s FREE. There are many free directories out there – which can do the same job. One directory we are investing in now (new for 2008) is The Best Of East Grinstead and The Best OF Crawley.
The Best Of seems a great way to raise your local business profile, in addition to joining your local networking groups like BNI and the Chamber of Commerce.
ICE joined its local BNI group in November 2007 and the local East Grinstead Chamber of Commerce just recently in January 2008. And hasn’t looked back…
